What file formats do you accept?
We accept JPG, PNG, and HEIC files. The higher the resolution the better. Most modern smartphone photos work perfectly. If unsure, email your photo to sparklegrid.work@gmail.com before ordering.
Can I use any photo?
You can use any photo you own the rights to — your own photos, photos of family and pets, or photos you have permission to use. We do not reproduce copyrighted images or images owned by third parties.
Can I see a preview before it is made?
Yes — email your photo to sparklegrid.work@gmail.com before ordering and we will send you a preview of the canvas design. We are happy to make adjustments before production begins.
Are custom kits refundable?
Custom kits are non-refundable once production has begun as they are made specifically from your photo. If there is a quality issue — a printing error, missing items, or damage — we will replace it at no charge.
How long does the diamond painting take to complete?
A 30x40 cm kit takes roughly 5-10 hours. A 40x50 cm takes 12-20 hours. A 60x80 cm can take 40-60 hours or more. Most people spread this over several evenings — it is a deeply relaxing process.

The quality of your finished diamond painting reflects the quality of your original photo. These tips make the difference between good and stunning.
Photos That Work Beautifully
Perfect Choice
- Sharp and in focus. The subject is crisp with no motion blur or soft edges.
- Well lit with natural daylight. Even, warm lighting brings out colour depth and contrast.
- Subject fills the frame. The closer you are to your subject, the more detail your kit will have.
- Simple, uncluttered background. A plain or blurred background makes the subject pop as a mosaic.
- Good contrast between subject and background. This creates definition and sparkle in the finished painting.
Photos That Lose Detail
Hard to Convert
- Blurry or out of focus. Soft photos lose fine detail during conversion and look muddy as a painting.
- Very dark or heavily shadowed. Dark areas collapse into a single colour block with no visible detail.
- Subject is very small in the frame. A tiny subject surrounded by background leaves little to paint.
- Busy, cluttered background. Multiple overlapping subjects or complex backgrounds create a confusing mosaic.
- Strong overexposure. Blown-out whites lose all detail and render as large blank patches in the painting.

Is your photo at least 1MP in resolution? A modern smartphone photo is always fine.
Is the main subject clearly visible and not hidden in shadow or behind other objects?
Does the photo have good contrast with visible light and dark areas?
Have you chosen a canvas big enough for the level of detail in your photo? 40x50cm minimum for faces.
Is the photo taken in natural or good indoor light? Avoid harsh flash or yellow indoor bulbs.
